Separating the Sheep From the Goats – At Warp Speed

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.

-- Matthew 25:32

I watch world events these days with a kind of amazement. There is so much going on, and it is happening so fast. At least the details are moving fast. The bigger picture is moving fast too, but it is much easier to see its trend. The trend is exposure, and it is happening on so many fronts.

Most of the world’s attention is focused on the Middle East, and this is understandable. After all, it is the focal point of the world’s tensions. It is a microcosm of the battle lines being drawn all over the world.

Beyond the headlines and details -- are the Israelis justified in their incursions into Palestinian settlements? Are suicide or “homicide” bombers terrorists or “freedom fighters”? and so on -- there emerges a bigger picture: that which is evil, is exposing itself with greater clarity, for all the world to see.

For years, Yassir Arafat hid behind a façade of world respectability. He was considered a legitimate leader. Now, within a very short time, he has been exposed as a terrorist. And the world is dividing into two groups regarding this fact: those who embrace good, and therefore reject Arafat, and those who embrace evil, and therefore embrace Arafat. Nations are lining up behind their preference, people are too.

Our old “friends”, the Saudis, have made their choice, running state sanctioned telethons to support terrorists. They have exposed their intent, laying their cards on the table for all the world to see. So has the great majority of the Arab/Muslim world. So be it.

Evil is a worldwide movement. And one by one, nations and continents reveal their hand. Much of Europe is showing itself to be an enemy of good, and therefore an ally of evil, and evil nations. France is the most egregious example, with its cowardice and moral vacuity.

In the United States, our “domestic enemies” are near-fully exposed. One time media darling Bill Clinton has left office with a trailing stench. Jesse Jackson cloaked himself in Dr. King’s righteousness for years. Suddenly, within the past several years, he’s gone into a moral meltdown before the public.

A cleansing is taking place, and it’s very good news. Now the Catholic Church is in crisis – thank God, it’s deserved. The church has hid homosexual predators for too long. Too much damage has been done. These predators are being exposed now, and if the church handles this situation correctly, it will be a strong, moral force once again.

In our personal lives, God is separating the sheep from the goats too. Not just externally. But inside ourselves. What we are is being manifested. Our gold is being tested in the furnace, and our impurities are rising to the surface for exposure. We are being given the choice now to stand with good, or stand with evil.

Ronald Reagan, in his classic 1964 speech, “A Time For Choosing”, said “If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.” Those words have never had more meaning than they have today.

It is a great time to be an American. We indeed have a “rendezvous with destiny”, and here we stand, essentially alone with Israel, to fight for every freedom and principle we’ve believed in and lived. God told the men of old not to fear, that he would fight the battle for them. He is doing that again today, separating the sheep from the goat in every situation, so that we will know where to stand.
