Got Facts? The Educated Voter Series: War On Terror

August 28, 2008

Note: This series is to help keep American voters 'in the know' on where the candidates stand on vital issues.

Facts:

The War on Terrorism (also known as the War on Terror) is the common term for the various military, political and legal actions by the United States government, in response to the unprovoked attacks on September 11, 2001. The official objectives of the 'War on Terror' are to counter terrorist threats, prevent terrorist acts and curb the influence of Muslim terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda.

This campaign of Muslim terrorist acts upon 'infidels' (non-Muslims) is religiously motivated and can be traced back to the founder of Islam (Mohammed). The current wave was brought about because non-Muslims made the mistake of displaying weakness, which in Muslim eyes is a position to be conquered.

Obama, in his own words:

"We live in a more dangerous world, partly as a consequence of Bush’s actions, primarily because of this war in Iraq that should have never been authorized or waged...The US has to reserve all military options in facing an imminent threat - but we have to do it wisely."

McCain, in his own words:

"America faces a dedicated, focused, and intelligent foe in the war on terrorism. This enemy will probe to find America's weaknesses and strike against them. The United States cannot afford to be complacent about the threat, naive about terrorist intentions, unrealistic about their capabilities, or ignorant to our national vulnerabilities."

Now you know.

Simple Folks? Nice Try, But We're Not That Stupid

August 28, 2008

Monday evening, the Dems tried to send a message to the naive in our country that the Obamas are just simple folk, just like you and me. They paraded Michelle Obama out with new makeup, a new Do and Crest White Strips (I'm not sure Michelle cared for the 'White' part)...and conjuring up images of her family, she drew some tears. Then they had a video link-up with Barack sitting in a 'typical white' family's home and he carried on an intimate conversation with his daughters...how sweet.

The Dems goal? To show us other 'typical white people' that Obama is just like us humble folk.

Nice try but no cigar. Why come to this conclusion? Well, if Obama was simple folk like most of America, he would have planned his acceptance speech at the convention center like every other candidate does. But not Barack Almighty...he planned something more suited for 'simple folk'...an 80,000 seat stadium built for professional sports teams and rock stars.

How unassuming.

Obama is an elitist who associates with elitists and feels he knows better than ordinary Americans. He doesn't want to be elected, he wants to be crowned.

Simple folks? Nice try, but we're not that stupid.

Only The Gullible Can Digest Such Dung

August 27, 2008

Michelle Obama's "I love this country" speech Monday night can only be digested by the most

gullible among us.

To think that one highly contrived moment in time can eradicate the fact that Mrs. Obama willfully sat at the feet of an anti-American demagogue (Jeremiah Wright) for nearly 20 years is sheer folly.

Her expedient transformation merely demonstrates that she is willing to do whatever it takes to get her husband elected king.

Only the gullible can digest such dung.

Obama: Friend Of Israel?

August 26, 2008

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction...Mohamed is my continuing source of inspiration.”

                            --From Audacity of Hope

Is it possible for someone to say something so unctuously and yet be handing you a boldfaced lie? Just listen to the presumptive Democrat candidate for president...

Among a myriad of paltering statements, one that truly stands out is, I'm a "stalwart friend of Israel...I think that their security is sacrosanct."

Sounds nice, but is it true? Well, according to those funny things known as facts, it ain't...

A convenient thing about Obama and his party, they, like Muslims, have no problem lying to the opposition (or just anyone in general) as long as it gets them where they want to go. If telling Jews that he stands with Israel will enable him to get their vote...he has no problem doing so. If he gets caught, he simply 'misspoke'.

But Obama's many associations and supporters tell a different story. Here are just a few:

Nice company. (And these are just a few of those who want Obama to win.) It's a sure bet that they (the above mentioned) cannot all be ignorant of who this man really is. And that's scary.

Jewish voters beware...this man is no friend, but a smooth-talking fiend of the Jewish State. And at this point in history, does Israel really need another anti-Semitic leader in its midst?

Shalom.

It Will Be His Ultimate Undoing

August 25, 2008

For Republicans--Joe Biden will be the gift that keeps on giving. Not only is the senator from Delaware an arrogant, controversial and tireless windbag (prone to verbal gaffes)--he, like his messianic running mate--is an ultra-liberal.

And as history indicates (Kerry/Edwards): Liberal tickets cannot win in a nation that is right-of-center.

Barack Hussein Obama's striking inexperience (exemplified in his Veep pick) will be his ultimate undoing.

Thank G-d.

Got Facts? The Educated Voter Series: Supreme Court Judges

August 21, 2008

Note: This series is to help keep American voters 'in the know' on where the candidates stand on vital issues.

Facts

Supreme Court of the United States is the highest court in the United States and the chief authority in the judicial branch, one of three branches of the United States federal government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial). The Supreme Court hears appeals from decisions of lower federal courts and state supreme courts, and it resolves issues of constitutional and federal law. Nine judges sit on the Court: the chief justice of the United States and eight associate justices. The president of the United States appoints them to the Court for life terms, but the U.S. Senate must approve each appointment. The power of judicial review enables the Court to invalidate both federal and state laws when they conflict with a strict constructionist interpretation of the Constitution (according to the Founder's "Original Intent," also elucidated further in the Federalist Papers). The Supreme Court may not legislate from the bench. Legislation is the duty of the Congress, the Legislative branch of government. The Judicial branch was originally designed to be the weakest of the three branches.

Obama, in his own words:

"I taught constitutional law for 10 years, and . . . when you look at what makes a great Supreme Court justice, it's not just the particular issue and how they rule, but it's their conception of the Court. And part of the role of the Court is that it is going to protect people who may be vulnerable in the political process, the outsider, the minority, those who are vulnerable, those who don't have a lot of clout. . . .Sometimes we're only looking at academics or people who've been in the [lower] court. If we can find people who have life experience and they understand what it means to be on the outside, what it means to have the system not work for them, that's the kind of person I want on the Supreme Court."

McCain, in his own words:

"My nominees will understand that there are clear limits to the scope of judicial power, and clear limits to the scope of federal power."

Concerning Obama's rejection of Justice Roberts nomination: "Senator Obama in particular likes to talk up his background as a lecturer on law, and also as someone who can work across the aisle to get things done...but he went right along with the partisan crowd, and was among the 22 senators to vote against this highly qualified nominee...Apparently, nobody quite fits the bill except for an elite group of activist judges, lawyers, and law professors who think they know wisdom when they see it — and they see it only in each other."

Now you know.

Dead Wrong On The Surge, Dead Wrong For America

August 20, 2008

Barack Hussein Obama on the most critical national security issue of our time--the Surge:

"Given the deteriorating situation, it is clear at this point that we cannot, through putting in more troops or maintaining the presence that we have, expect that somehow the situation is gonna improve."

"I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is gonna solve the sectarian violence there; in fact I think it'll do the reverse."

"We can send 15,000 more troops, 20,000 more troops, 30,000 more troops. I don't know any expert on the region or any military officer that I've spoken to privately that believes that that is going to make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground."

Senator Obama: Dead wrong on the Surge. Dead wrong for America.

Pelosi: No better Than Hugo Or Mahmoud

August 19, 2008

Most of the world's oil supply is controlled by despots and tyrants--and America is no exception.

Our great nation is sitting on an estimated 116 billion barrels of untapped oil. Untapped due to Nancy Pelosi (and her eco-maniacal, Marxist minions) who refuses to even allow an up or down vote on drilling.

And due to the Speaker's (politically motivated) intractability--Americans are getting slaughtered at the pumps.

In the final analysis, Pelosi is no better than Hugo Chavez or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who--in order to control their citizens--purposely inflict economic hardship them.

Despots and tyrants: Right here in America.

Israeli Arabs: Israel's Fifth Column

August 18, 2008

Israel is surrounded by enemies on every side. But there has now surfaced a new and more dangerous enemy...an enemy within: Israeli Arabs.

Groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah are now recruiting Israeli Arabs to commit terror attacks upon innocent Israelis. Two of these were seen recently when Israeli Arabs used construction equipment (bulldozers) to mow down innocent Israelis in the street.

And for those who think these attacks are committed by poor, uneducated Arabs...an Israeli Arab was arrested last month at Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport after he returned from Germany. Khaled Kashkoush, 29, has been studying medicine for a number of years in Gottingen, Germany. He confessed, during an interrogation, that while he was in Germany he was recruited by Hezbollah agents. According to FrontPageMag, he was to supply info about Israeli nationals studying abroad who could be possible Hezbollah recruits, and to obtain work in an Israeli hospital so he could gather information about security personnel or soldiers being treated there.

This is a critical situation. The enemies that Israel fights on a daily basis have managed to bring hell a little closer. The freedoms they have extended to myriad Arabs (freedoms they cannot obtain in the 'Palestinian' areas or in any of their neighboring Arab countries), has been repaid not with friendship and peace, but with a knife (or bulldozer) in the back.

With enemies as far as the eye can see, a fifth column is the last thing the Jewish State needs.

Shalom.

You'll Never Hear It From Them

August 15, 2008

Here is a fact you'll never hear from defeatist Dems (or their wannabe Messiah): According to the CIA, US forces have killed or apprehended 5,000 terrorists since 9/11.

This, of course, includes Abu Khabab al-Masri--the mastermind behind the bombing of the USS Cole. Al-Masri was killed by a US air strike last month. And Khalid Sheik Mohammed (mastermind of the 9/11 attacks) who was seized in 2003.

No, you'll never hear this fact from the Dems (or their anointed one) because they are too preoccupied with  their politically expedient mantra "the war is lost."

Got Facts? The Educated Voter Series: DOMA

August 14, 2008

Note: This series is to help keep American voters 'in the know' on where the candidates stand on vital issues.

Facts

The federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex. Forty states have their own Defense of Marriage Acts (DOMAs). In 1996, Congress adopted DOMA. Congress passed DOMA because of a protracted assault on marriage, and predominantly in response to a Hawaii court decision that implied there is a right to same-sex “marriage” in the Hawaii Constitution. DOMA was signed by President Clinton on Sept. 21, 1996.

Obama, in his own words:

"I support the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)-a position I have held since before arriving in the U.S. Senate...while some say we should repeal only part of the law, I believe we should get rid of that statute altogether. Federal law should not discriminate in any way against gay and lesbian couples, which is precisely what DOMA does." (Note: The new Democrat National Platform Opposes the Defense of Marriage Act. The platform draft states, "We oppose the Defense of Marriage Act...”)

McCain, in his own words:

"I supported the Defense of Marriage Act adopted by Congress and signed into law by President Clinton in 1996...the law neither compels a state to recognize a same-sex marriage from another state, nor does it prohibit states from recognizing such marriages. It simply protects each state's right to choose how it will define marriage." (McCain voted for DOMA in 1996.)

Now you know.

Oh, How They Admire Him

August 13, 2008

Could it be that the majority of college students support Barack Hussein Obama because they admire his anti-Americanism? After all, most college campuses are nothing more than citadels of virulent, left-wing demagoguery.

Like Obama, most students believe that America is a beastly, global hegemony that must be tamed.  And the only way to tame it (in their vitiated minds) is via the whip wielded by 'enlightened' UN bureaucrats.

Obama is running the first post-American presidential campaign in US history--and sadly--it is being propped-up by college students that esteem his vast disdain for all things Americana.

Oh, how they admire him.

Putin: Dangerous Man

August 12, 2008

It should now be quite obvious that former KGB operative, Vladimir Putin--is a dangerous man.

Putin's military incursion into Georgia is a demonstrable sign that the former spook (pulling all the strings in Russia) is fixated on reviving the old Soviet Empire. And he will do whatever it takes (including fomenting chaos, tumult and war) until he accomplishes his goal.

Add to this mix the fact that Putin bolsters the Iranian regime--and you have one toxic cocktail.

Putin: A dangerous man.

Edwards: Result Of A 'Progressive' Worldview

August 11, 2008

The news, last Friday, that the former senator and presidential candidate, John Edwards, admitted guilt of having an affair while his wife endured a grave battle with cancer, was not as big a surprise to everyone...

We've all heard that expression 'progressive' bandied about by those on the left. The reason is it's their euphemism for liberal (a word that often leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the average American). But giving liberalism a new name certainly has not changed the result of its ideology.

Liberalism, among other things, stands for unfettered sexual activity, abortion on demand, open marriage (including perverse unions), co-habitation, multiple partners, moral relativism ('if it feels good, do it'), and so on.

So why would we be shocked or appalled by John Edwards' behavior? The ideology encourages free love, doesn't it? If it felt good for Edwards, isn't that all that mattered?

Well, progressives...just like followers of other anarchy-based ideologies, eventually must face the consequences of their dictates. And since the Creator has placed a certain knowledge of right and wrong upon every man's heart...this explains the general revulsion of Edward's behavior.

Bottom line: A rose is a rose...and liberalism, by any other name, still corrupts.

Isn't that right, Mr. Edwards?

Character Or Color?

August 8, 2008

People that fanatically believe Barack Hussein Obama should be rewarded the presidency based on his skin hue are dimwitted.

Not only is that position vacuous, it dangerously dismisses the fact that on the most pressing national security issue of our time (the Surge) Obama was wildly wrong.

And more disturbingly (due to his towering arrogance and absence of moral fiber) the senator from Illinois refuses to acknowledge the overwhelming success of the Surge.

It has been said that a man should be judged by the content of his character--not the color of his skin. But to the dimwitted, this maxim need not apply because: Color will always trump character.

Got Facts? The Educated Voter Series: Partial-Birth Abortion

August 6, 2008

Note: This series is to help keep American voters 'in the know' on where the candidates stand on vital issues.

Facts

This procedure, according to the American Medical Association (AMA), is never necessary to save the life of the mother. The Partial-birth abortion, also called "brain suction" or "D&X", procedure is as follows: Most are performed in the fifth and sixth month. The entire infant is delivered except the head. Scissors are jammed into the base of the skull. A tube is inserted into the skull, and the brain is sucked out. The now-dead infant is pulled out.

Obama, in his own words:

"On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly. All I've said is we should have a provision to protect the health of the mother, and many of the bills that came before me didn't have that. Part of the reason they didn't have it was purposeful, because those who are opposed to abortion have a moral calling to try to oppose what they think is immoral. Oftentimes what they were trying to do was to polarize the debate and make it more difficult for people, so that they could try to bring an end to abortions overall."

McCain, in his own words:

Partial-birth abortion is "hideous [and] should never be allowed any place on earth...Banning partial-birth abortions goes far beyond traditional pro-life or pro-choice views. No matter what your personal opinion regarding the legalization of abortion, we should all be appalled and outraged by the practice of partial-birth abortions. This procedure is inhumane and extremely brutal entailing the partial delivery of a healthy baby who is then killed by having its vibrant brain stabbed and suctioned out of the skull...This is simply barbaric...Life means the rights of the born and the unborn."

Now you know.

Setting The Record Straight On Slavery

August 6, 2008

The issue of slavery has been convoluted by historical revisionists. With myriad textbooks describing the Founders as rapacious slave owners, these revisionists have driven many a politician to proffer a mea culpable (on behalf of the American people) for the barbaric practice.

The truth is, most of our Founders (there were over 200 hundred) never owned slaves and publicly denounced the institution. Yet, those most responsible for colonial slavery have received a pass by revisionists and their ilk.

I think Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni, summed it up best: "African chiefs were the ones waging war on each other and capturing their own people and selling them. If anyone should apologize, it should be African chiefs."

Well said.

It's Official

August 5, 2008

It's official: Disagree with Barack Hussein Obama on the substantive issues and you will be called a racist (particularly if you happen to be a white guy).

Whether it's Iraq, global warming, the economy, or his inexperience--contest the Messiah and he will accuse you of not worshipping him because he "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

For a candidate that profusely promised to transcend race--Obama has demonstrated a

disquieting (Al Sharpton-like) propensity for

racial demagoguery.

It's official.

Egypt Hinders Israel's Safe Haven For Refugees

August 4, 2008

Since 2005, desperate Sudanese from the Darfur region have sought safety in Israel...the only surrounding country that has shown compassion for their plight. And thousands have made it to safety there...those fortunate enough to make it past the Egyptian military, that is...

Why is that? Well, Islamist Arabs run Sudan and they consistently persecute Black Muslims and Christians. These Arab Muslim governments (Egypt & Sudan) have great animosity for Israel and don't truly consider African Muslims to be true Muslims. Therefore, they make every attempt to prevent any refugees from entering the Jewish State...and would rather see the refugees dead (and that's including women and children) than safe among the Jews.

Where's the compassion? An apparent lack of it is endemic to Muslim nations, easily evidenced by their history. The oil-wealthy Muslim nations give bupkiss to the World Food Program, the Arab neighbors of Israel created the 'palestinian' refugee problem and cease to give even the smallest lot of land as a home to their brethren, and so on...

How about some UN condemnation of these Muslim governments for their genocidal hatred and merciless actions. There's as much of a chance of that, as there is of the UN commending Israel...for anything.

Shalom.

Got Facts? The Educated Voter Series: Drilling

August 1, 2008

Note: This series is to help keep American voters 'in the know' on where the candidates stand on vital issues.

Facts

Drilling today is cleaner than 'Mother Nature'. 99.999 percent cleaner. According to the US Minerals Management Service, some 620,500 barrels of oil ooze organically from North America's ocean floors each year. Contrast this with the average 6,555 barrels that oil companies have spilled annually since 1998. 'Mother Nature' is clearly 95 times dirtier than mankind.

Obama's position, in his own words

"Making sure your tires are properly inflated – simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling – if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You'd actually save just as much!"

McCain's position, in his own words:

"We must embark on a national mission to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil...we have untapped oil reserves of at least 21 billion barrels in the United States. But a broad federal moratorium stands in the way of energy exploration and production. . . . It is time for the federal government to lift these restrictions."

Now you know.
